We found out last night that Clara has a Grade 1 intraventricular hemorrhage on the right side of her brain. If the nurse practioner and the internet are to be believed, a Grade 1 IVH is not that big of a deal and relatively common in preemies of Clara's size. Grades 3 and 4 are the ones of real concern. They'll re-ultrasound her in two weeks to make sure it's not any bigger.

Thank goodness it was a low grade hemorrhage. You are probably getting another education on premies just like you did with high risk pregnancies?

Love that you got 2 of the best Christmas presents ever. Even if they do have poinsettia as the birth flower :)! Mine is a carnation (Jan) which is worse!
I'm glad to hear the girls are getting stronger. What a feeling to hold them after all of this time! Have a very Merry Christmas...we're thinking of you.
